Republicans Margaret Copeland, left, and Rep. Gary Glenn attended the Republican National Convention last week in Cleveland. They were two of the 2,472 Republican delegates to cast votes. Copeland cast her vote for Donald Trump while Glenn voted for Sen. Ted Cruz. Trump received the nomination with 1,543 votes while Cruz came in second at 559. Sen.Marco Rubio received 165 votes and Ohio Gov. John Kasich garnered 161 votes. To win the nomination, a candidate needed 1,237 votes. Trump will face Democrat Hillary Clinton in the race for president during general election on Nov. 8.
